December

So far I am not the best blogger! My intentions were to post a little something from each day but it's been, oh, since before Thanksgiving that I've written. A lot has happened since our last post! We had a nice Thanksgiving with my mom Melinda, and sister Mary. Belle adores Mary because she is younger (still in high school). After we ate we went to Rock City to see the Christmas lights- very pretty. Belle LOVED it!

We've also gotten really positive news about the new baby. We went in for an ultrasound to make sure our new little one is doing well. (I'll be interchanging he and she b/c it gets tiring to write he/she each time). She seems to be growing properly with a strong heartbeat. His heartrate was 177 bpm 2.5 weeks ago and on Monday it was 166bpm. Doc says it's okay that it went down b/c she was asleep. We even tried to wake the baby up but we were unsuccessful.  He was sleeping very well when we went in. She is 12 weeks old today. I'm hoping the fatigue and nausea disappears overnight tonight!

Speaking of babies- more big news is that Belle has a new cousin, Jude Hunter! He was born on December 4th. We are so excited to welcome him to the family and so happy for Morgan and Michelle to start their journey as parents! He is a precious little man!

Belle is getting so big! She is telling us so much, she's very chatty. I have a feeling she'll have lots to say to her new "brodder or sitter". When we ask her what she would like (bro or sis) she just says "no, no". I haven't quite figured out what that means. She adores babies- maybe a little much! We have to monitor her very well when she is in the presence of one... For example: there is a little boy named Parker in the nursery with her at the gym when I have to teach an aerobics class. He must be around 9-10 months old. She told me she wanted to "ride Parkers back" when he was crawling on the floor! I quickly told her that was not going to work out well for her...or for Parker! Hilarious! How can you not laugh at moments like that!

Here is a recent pic of her painting today and of the new little person!

Friday Night

What a week we've had! Last weekend Ryan came down with the H1N1 flu and then Belle and I have come down with something ourselves. Luckily, I don't think it's the flu but it's pretty nasty, whatever it is. We are all on the road to recovery and, God willing, we'll come out of it by this weekend!

Right now, it's just really nice to be able to relax with Ryan and not have to think about anything or do anything! I love Sabbath!
